We believe in good business.: A business is a human endeavour which creates wealth by meeting people's needs at a cost lower than the price they are prepared to pay. The profit which comes from this is a wonderful thing – it is the surplus which has come from creativity, hard work, and from a human encounter in a marketplace. It is this surplus which allows economies to grow, and which pays for all the material things we need to have a good life.
We believe in good returns for our shareholder and investors.: Our shareholders and investors are entitled to their returns. They have worked hard to create their own wealth, and they want that wealth to earn its keep. Only if good returns are made will further investment follow. Sometimes, we have to be patient, as the payback is over a long term – but pay back there should be.
We believe in good value for our customers.: We want entrepreneurs and institutions to come to us because we give them good value. This means not only that we will invest on reasonable terms, but also that our processes are as swift and as low cost as possible. We do not want to be costly to deal with – either in terms of money, or in hassle.
